Barry E. Jackson | Public Strangers
For the past several months, I have been quiet in the studio, working on a collection of paintings that I am finally ready to share with you all. I call this series Public Strangers.
These works are born from observation—the figures we see in the periphery of our lives, the people we sit next to at a bar or pass on a crowded street. They are familiar, yet nameless. In these paintings, I’ve tried to capture that space between recognition and anonymity, where a story is suggested but never fully told.
Please join me for the opening reception of this new exhibit.
