Week 3 (Character Design): Relating character design to animation style. Focus on shape language, silhouette, pose, contour, and facial expressions.
Week 4 (Color Theory): Explore the factors of color relationship and control to evoke specific emotional responses.
Week 5 (Space and Scale): Relationship between objects and environment. Perspective, depth, and how to manipulate scale for maximum impact.
Week 6 (Surrealism): Exploring rational procedures to create irrational results. Focus on symbolic storytelling beyond literal representation.
Week 7 (Sci-Fi): World-building through the lens of science fiction, focusing on technology, futuristic environments, and industrial aesthetics.
Week 8 (Visceral Paint): Physical and emotive qualities of medium. Texture, brushwork, and the application of paint to create a raw, impactful visual experience.
Week 9 (Business): Logistics of maintaining an identity and a career in art, including portfolio management, marketing, and the ever-changing commercial landscape.
