CBGB is a powerful, environmental work within the Public Strangers body of work, capturing the primal, electric atmosphere of the legendary Bowery club. These figures represent a collective feeling, familiar yet nameless, drawn from the well of shared cultural memory. The work exists in the space between recognition and anonymity, where a narrative is suggested but never defined. There is no setting to anchor the figure, and no story to resolve it.
